The study car will serve as a taster of a forthcoming BMW model – the new BMW 8 Series Coupe, slated for launch in 2018 and part of the biggest model offensive in the company’s history.

An epic fight between Shane Van Gisbergen in the #58 Garage 59 McLaren and Maxi Buhk in the #84 HTP Motorsport Mercedes-AMG decided the Monza round of the 2016 Blancpain GT Series. The two were all over each other during the final half an hour of the race, but Van Gisbergen managed to hold Buhk behind and cross the line with a mere three tenths of a second in hand.
The Rowe Racing team enjoyed a well-nigh perfect start to the new season in the Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup in Misano (IT) at the weekend. Philipp Eng (AT) and Alexander Sims (GB) had to start Saturday’s qualifying race from 30th on the grid, but produced an impressive fightback in difficult conditions to finish second. This represented the first podium for the BMW M6 GT3 in Europe.
